JDSDE Author's Corner - Current Topic (11/03/08 - 11/23/08):
Spoken Language Development in Oral Preschool Children With Permanent Childhood Deafness.

Parents of children who are deaf/hard of hearing and the professionals who work with them have many questions concerning this topic. Dr. Julia Z. Sarant's research provides an empirical examination of this issue. During the course of the next three weeks, Dr. Sarant will be hosting a Q&A session concerning her research via the Journal of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education "Author's Corner" wiki. This Q&A session is open to ALL individuals who interact with students who are deaf/hard of hearing.

To participate in this unique learning opportunity simply:

1. go to http://www.wiki.educ.msu.edu/ and click on the word "Join" in the upper right-hand corner.

2. once you have established a logon and password, click on Journal of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education: Author's Corner (http://jdsde-author-corner.wiki.educ.msu.edu/)

3. then, once you are on the JDSDE Author's Corner home page, "click" on "2. Current" in the left hand menu bar

That is it, "1 - 2 - 3" and you will be able to read and participate in an interactive learning opportunity concerning a learning opportunity that is of critical importance to us all. (Note: You will need to “Sign In” to the JDSDE Author's Corner prior to posting in the discussion threads.)
