Reference:
Connolly, R. P. (July 1988). A descriptive study of vocational programs in residential schools for the Deaf. American Annals of the Deaf. (204-206)

Summary:
This study examined the voed programs at residential schools for the deaf. Due to new laws allowing students to attend their home school as well as the decline in rubella children, residential schools have smaller enrollment and less funding for programs. 95% responded that they had a vocational program and, of those, 35% offered a pre-vocational program. 32% of these program were off campus sites or public school programs.
