WHAT DOES VOCATIONAL EDUCATION INVOLVE?

• Providing students with career interest information to help them choose a vocation.
• Some districts have graduation requirements for all students in work and career skills (length of 10 weeks in 9th or 10th grade).
• Developing and implementing a plan to incorporate technology.
• Start with a strong position at the local level. Create a solid school-based learning program. Build work-based learning opportunities. Keep your system successful long term.
