What future Student teachers need to do to bring success into their classrooms:
They should have a broad base knowledge of all sign systems and be flexible enough to use all of them
They must have a broad understanding of other disabilities that they may encounter in a classroom
They should have a firm understanding of ASL culture
They must know how to teach subject matter in a variety of ways
They should put an emphasis on visual learning instead of vocal & notation
They should know come up with creative ways for higher level students of work together lower level students to bring uniformity to the classroom
They should remember not to fall in the “supposed” and should learn to raise their expectations for their students
Get involved with the Deaf community and work with them to get role models for your students
Use new technology to Facilitate language growth i.e. Computers,
