The best Intervention programs are those that emphasis the child’s individual strengths and weakness. The Intervention goals of the child should be gathered through multiple forms of assessment. In the past Formal assessments were deemed the best way of testing because they gave a baseline of speech; however a baseline of speech is not enough for today ‘s intervention goals. Today's intervention plans no longer just center themselves around the production of perfect speech but they also concentrate on the needs of the family and perfection of the child's best communication modality.
