3 months Babies should be looking around, face and smile, turn their head in the direction of noise
6 months Babies can make lots of sounds, combine d,b,m with vowels, laugh and squeal
9 months Babies can babble, play peek- a- boo and shout to get attention.
1 year Babies can recognize their name, use 2-3 words besides Mama and dada, understand simple instructions and recognize symbols for objects
18 months Babies can recognize pictures of familiar people and objects, wave bye-bye, point and gesture to what they want, combine two words.
Most children can accomplish these goals if they are developing “normally”
