Method of communication may be discussed only as related to the above focus. EDUDEAF is NOT the place for DEBATES of mode of communication Rather it is an open forum for the sharing of ideas to improve the quality of instruction offered to students. It is a place where parents can ask questions - related to the classroom - of teachers. However, it is not for the general discussion of deafness at large. Deaf-L is a more appropriate place for that discussion. EDUDEAF is aimed at networking teachers of the deaf to give them an opportunity to share ideas and strategies with one another. It is also a forum to ask questions of other teachers in an attempt to deal with situations and issues that arise in the classroom. If a post or thread strays from the intent of the list, the list owner/administrator will address this in private email. If flames or disrepect occur the owner will remove the person from the list occur the owner will remove the person from the list.
