Collaborative Interaction:
This high school teacher works with various individuals
to educate and prepare students for their lives outside of the classroom.
Individuals that she collaborates with on a daily basis are the other Deaf
Education teacher and the interpreters. The other individuals that she
collaborates with about the students, varies depending on the needs of
students and the availability of the individuals. Those that she has collaborative
interaction with are:

Parents/ Foster parents: There is not a high parent involvement rate, but
when she has the opportunity to communicate with the parents, she can discuss
the concerns and needs of the students and the parents. She can also inform
the parents of the successes and challenges of the students at school.

Other Deaf Education Teacher: The teacher can coordinate lessons and meaningful
experiences with this teacher. They may also coordinate on classroom management
when needed

Special Education Coordinator: The coordinator informs the teacher of services
and issues important to she and her students.

Interpreters: The teacher and the interpreters discuss when and where the
students will need the assistance of the interpreters.

Speech Pathologist: During previous years, the teacher would include and
implement some of the speech pathologist's speech objectives for students
in a classroom lesson.

School Psychologist: The school psychologist interprets and provides information
about the students to the teacher.

Counselors: The counselors assists students in meeting their academic requirement
on the academic tract or on the vocational tract.

Audiologist: Occasional comes to school to check fittings and do repairs
of hearing aids.

Transitionist: She helps the students transition from school to employment.

BVR: Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation: This person assist students in
finding and keeping employment.

Vocational Special Education Coordinator: This person assist students in
vocational skill, such as searching for a job, what careers are available
to the students, or how to get transportation to search for a job or get
to a job.

Case Managers: For the students that are in foster care, this person is
in charge of the students needs being met.
