has things that he or she does to create a positive learning environment
for the students – one in which they will want to be involved. A positive
learning environment is one that makes students feel comfortable in sharing
their thoughts and ideas. Examples of ways Mrs. Cundra creates a positive
learning environment are listed below.
To create a positive
learning environment, a teacher must be well prepared. Mrs. Cundra comes
into the classroom one week before school starts to set up the room. She
works with the other Deaf education teacher to figure out her students’
schedules and what she wants to teach them. During this time she also figures
out what IEP goals to cover. She also puts up her bulletin boards.
