ERIC Clearinghouse on Assessment and Evaluation

http://ericae.net

This website is a general site for assessment, it is not specific to history. At this site you can search ERIC, go to the test locator, see the assessment FAQ’s, look through a bookstore that is affiliated with amazon.com, and go to the full-text library. The site is very easy to use and is very teacher friendly. It is a wonderful site to obtain information on using assessment in all the curriculum areas.

National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing

This is another general assessment website. At this site you can either do a search by keyword, audience or index. You can also go to the library and look at reports, newsletters, and see what is new. Under the assessment category, one can see samples, look at guidebooks, see the titles of videos, and look through a database. There is also a discussion category. In this category is a forum, a listserv, and questions. This is another good website that can be used by any teacher and with any subject that is being taught.
