Uses in the Deaf Education Classroom

All of the sites provide access to information about items of interest to all teachers of mathematics and offers material that could be used to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics. Some of the sites have ideas for lesson plans and integrating math with other subjects. The ENC site lists the standards in math for the entire country and the Department of Education site gives teachers and parents access to information about early childhood education. Teachers in the Deaf Education classroom would most likely be able to use these sites as a means of determining what and how they should teach math in their classrooms. The sites could be used to share ideas with other teachers and obtain input from others. They could also pass along the information to their parents as a way of getting them involved and working with their child at home.
