8. What types of reading programs are available in communities for very young children?

In attempting to answer this questions I discovered that I wasn’t able to give a single website in order to cover all of the programs available. My best advice to parents is to either call your local library or check your libraries home page on the internet.

I did discover that some libraries do offer some programming for infants as well as older children. Chances are good they won’t be specifically for children with hearing losses. Local schools for deaf children my have such programs as well as local school districts or other agencies. The programs at your local library will probably be fine until your child becomes too mobile. Use your best judgement.
