The University of Tennessee at Knoxville has received a federal grant which provides the following for Masters students who are completing their Professional Year (Internship Year) in the Education of Deaf/Hard of Hearing Children and Youth reacher preparation program: Students complete their Internship Year in order to qualify for an initial TN teaching license in Hearing: PreK-12. For the Internship Year (Fall and Spring Semesters of 1997-98; 1998-99; 1999-2000 with more years to come if the grant is continued) the top 10 Interns will receive: Tuition and fee waivers for both semesters of Internship year for 10 months. Monthly stipend of $325.00.
