The second part of this manual contains important information for the parent advisor concerning the programs implementation. This information includes:

introduction to the multihandicapped sensory impaired (MHSI) child, his family and the responsibilities of the parent advisor
Emotional support for families of MHSI child
Support services for MHSI children
Planning the program, planning and delivering the home visit, and reporting progress
Getting the program started

The last part of this manual contains two of the INSITE home visit programs.The first program, The Communication Program, is a comprehensive series of lessons on promoting communication in the MHSI child and includes sections on creating a home environment that fosters communication. The second program,The Hearing Program, is a series of lessons on hearing aid management and promoting auditory development in the MHSI child.
