What is the role of the parents of the child in assuring success with the cochlear implant?

Insight:

I feel that the above information is very important for parents to know. It will help the parents of a child who has an implant or who is about to get implanted be able to help with the educational process. This will give these parents a baseline of information to start with. They will then be able to take this information and get other sources and more complete information. Parents play a huge role in how successful a cochlear implant will be. The teachers and parents have to work together to ensure that the child is successful in school.
