Qualifications:
Minimum: Eligibility for Georgia leadership certification at the masters level and three years of education leadership experience in a kindergarten through twelfth grade educational environmental.
Sign language proficiency at the intermediate plus level.

Preferred:  Eligibility for Georgia teaching certification in deaf education,three years of professional experience in an educational setting, experience managing a diverse work force, preparing and/or administering a budget, program planning and evaluation,and applying technology in an educational setting.
Sign language proficiency at the advanced level or higher.

Summary of Work and Responsibilities:
Provides overall administrative leadership of a state operated
school for deaf students ranging in age from three to twenty-one
years old.

Provides effective coordination and leadership of the
educational program, administers the human resources function,
administers state and federal budget appropriations, and
establishes effective communication with parents, community,
members, and public/private organizations.
