Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Science certified major, or Education
of the Deaf with certification in 7-12 grade Science;
Summary of Work and Responsibilities:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Teach Science (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) and Elective Courses to
High School students;
Implement innovative teaching approaches in collaboration with other teachers
and the Voc/Tech faculty.
Develop Individual Education Plans and participate in the evaluation of
Use English and American Sign Language in teaching and working with students.
Request/Submit Application To:
Kentucky Teacher's Certificate or eligibility;
Minimum Sign Communication Proficiency Interview (SCPI) rating of "Intermediate"
or be willing to learn and participate in sign language classes as part
of tenure consideration.
