Appointment is 190 working days, beginning last August and ending
Summary of Work and Responsibilities:
Master's degree in education of the deaf, education, or relevant content
KDES positions require CED certification or eligibility for CED certification.
Knowledge and experience in team teaching; integrated thematic instruction
strategies; teaching multi-age, multi-level groups of students.
Sign language skills required. (Specific requirements for each position
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Major responsibilities include working within an interdisciplinary teaching
team to plan and present learning activities to meet individual student
needs and goals, assessing and reporting student progress.
Develops integrated thematic instructional activities and materials.
Supports Clerc Center national mission through participation in identified
projects related to priority areas of literacy, family involvement, and
