Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Instructional or Educational Technology
or Education of the Deaf with Technology major/minor.
Three years experience teaching computer applications.
Summary of Work and Responsibilities:
Teach computer applications, business & office education, keyboarding,
and related fields.
Implement innovative teaching approaches in collaboration with other teachers
and student life staff.
Develop Individual Education Plans and participate in the evaluation of
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Perform classroom instruction in basic and advanced computer applications
that include Hardware/software Vocabulary, Word Processing, Spreadsheets,
E-Mail, Intranet/Internet, Instant Messaging, Anti-Virus Programs; CD ROM,
Networks, Presentation Programs, Operating Systems,On-Line Searches, Multimedia,
Computer Assisted Design Programs, Databases, File Services, File Sharing,
Printing, Desktop Publishing, Fax Programs, Back Up Programs, etc.
Minimum Sign Communication Proficiency Interview (SCPI) rating of "Intermediate"
or be willing to learn and participate in sign language classes at KSD.
