Term of Employment:
2000-2001 Academic Year
Experience in the school setting is preferred, and must be proficient
in American Sign Language.
Summary of Work and Responsibilities:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Will interpret in the regular education classroom and do some tutoring
with a variety of ages of students.
Will collaborate with regular education teachers, a teacher of the
deaf/hard of hearing, and a speech pathologist.
Will do some interpreting after school for school sponsored events,
IEP meetings, etc.
Request/Submit Application To:
Must be proficient in American Sign Language,
Must meet the state standards for educational interpreters,
Must be familiar with the role of the interpreter in the educational
Must be able to work with a variety of professionals.
