Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in Deaf Education or closely related field is required.

CED professional certification;

Ability to relate with an increasingly diverse study body and faculty,
-
Three years of successful teaching experience with deaf and hard of hearing
children in the area of speech and aural rehabilitation are required.
Summary of Work and Responsibilities:
-
Teach speech, aural rehabilitation, or/and school subjects coursework.

Supervise clinical practicum in a Deaf Education curriculum with a comprehensive
philosophy.

Our department coursework prepares students to teach in oral, cued speech,
total communication, ASL and bilingual/bicultural programsfor deaf and
hard-of-hearing students and emphasizes using state-of-the-art instructional
technology.

The successful candidate should be able to work cooperatively with colleagues
in the department and college.

The successful candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty,
staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
