4a.  Web Researcher

Identification of practicum/ student teaching assignment and topic for Web research

Computer-based log (electronic journal) of information requested, resources & resulting synthesis of info (e.g., written summary, development of a web page, etc.)

4b.  Curriculum Development Teams

Identification of practicum/ student teaching assignment and curricular request.

Submission of final product, which should include topic, information/activities requested, resources used & resulting curriculum material or design.

4c.  Development of Case Studies

Identification of preservice teacher’s practicum/ student teaching assignment and a copy of the case study assignment.

Computer based log of (items such as):

  • D/HH student back-ground information and educational placement
  • Description of problems and what serves to disrupt student’s work.
  • Response to problem:  what does the student do?
  • Pre-service teacher instructional informa-tion, i.e., what the preservice teacher does to enhance the D/HH student’s learning ability:
  • instructional objective(s)/strategies

4d.  On-Line Learning Opportunities

Identification of “match” between a preservice teacher and an experienced teacher, a parent or a D/HH student, and the purpose of the interaction.

  • Number of messages sent and received.
  • Summary of on-line work.
  • Resulting insights.

4e.  Cyber Mentors for Preservice Teachers

Identification of match between pre-service teacher and Cyber Mentor, a list of topics, and a monitoring plan.

Computer-based log of:

  • onset of e-mail exchanges;
  • # of messages sent & received (student minimum of 1 message per week)
  • Brief background of Cyber Mentor
  • Summary of information gained.
  • Summary of information shared.
  • Resulting insights.

4f.  Professional Portfolios

Identification of portfolio individual and plan for inclusion of technology.

Copy of the resulting portfolio submitted electronically.

5.  Technology-Rich K-12 Settings

Brief description of the K-12 setting in which some classes or a course will be conducted and expected use of the K-12 technology.

Actual K-12 technology used and perceived difference that its use made within the teaching/learning environment.

6.  Faculty Development Forums

Brief description of the faculty development forum that an individual wants to attend and the technology related knowledge/skills they expect to gain at the forum.

Brief description of knowledge/skills gained at the forum and how such will be used to enhance teaching and learning.

7.  On-Line or Web-Enhanced Courses

Identification of the targeted course and a brief description of how it will be modified as either a “Web enhanced” or “on-line” course

Copy of the resulting course syllabi, a description of how the course was modified, and reflection of the impact the modifications had upon teaching and learning.

8.  Other

Brief description of the proposed “Other Choice”, how it meets the grant’s goals, and the expected outcomes.

A description of the resulting work, how it met the grant’s goals, and the outcomes it generated.
