- The purpose of this portfolio is to provide information for and about d/Deaf African Americans, particularly children. To best serve this population of children, one needs to be more knowledgeable of their culture. However, it is important to remember that like other children and individuals, they should to be respected and appreciated for the qualities they possess.
- This portfolio is divided into questions and insights with application. The questions represent what I thought to be important information to look into. The insights and applications are my own reflections of the information I found and how this information might be applied to working with Deaf African Americans children. To get to a particular question and insight, just click on that question.
